BAPS Toronto Mandir is only 6 km from Pearson International Airport — the closest major Hindu temple to any major airport in North America. Uber from the airport costs $12-$18 and takes just 10 minutes. For those not comfortable with Uber, the Airport Express minibus service operates between Pearson Terminal 3 and the Mandir on Sundays during festivals. Driving from downtown Toronto takes about 30 minutes via Highway 427 or the Don Valley / 401 route. The Mandir has 600+ free parking spaces plus overflow parking for festival days.
If you're visiting Toronto for tourism and want to combine a BAPS visit, the CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum and Toronto Island are all 30–45 minutes away by Uber or transit. The Mandir makes a pleasant 3-hour stop — especially the Heritage Museum, which provides excellent context for first-time visitors unfamiliar with Hindu traditions. The on-site Shayona Restaurant serves an outstanding Gujarati thali (CAD 22) with live cooking demonstrations visible through the glass kitchen — a tourist attraction in its own right.
With Pearson Airport only minutes away, airport hotels are the most convenient for out-of-town devotees: Alt Hotel Toronto Airport, Delta Toronto Airport & Conference Centre, Hyatt Regency Toronto Airport, Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites. Etobicoke and Mississauga offer additional mid-range options. Downtown Toronto (Fairmont Royal York, Ritz-Carlton) is 30–45 minutes by car. BAPS does not operate a guesthouse but the Shayona restaurant on-site serves authentic Gujarati thali daily; other nearby pure-vegetarian options include Saravanaa Bhavan Etobicoke and Udupi Palace at Rexdale and Islington.
Pearson Airport area hotels are the most convenient for Mandir visits: Alt Hotel Toronto Airport, Delta Toronto Airport, Hyatt Regency Toronto International Airport, Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel, and budget options Monte Carlo Inn Toronto West. For tourists combining Toronto with the Mandir, downtown hotels like the Fairmont Royal York, Delta Toronto or Chelsea Hotel offer the full city experience 30 minutes away. The Mandir's own Shayona Restaurant is open 11:30 AM to 9 PM daily and serves authentic Gujarati pure-vegetarian fare; for other vegetarian options, Saravanaa Bhavan Etobicoke, Udupi Palace Etobicoke and Bombay Garden Toronto are all within 15 minutes of the Mandir.
