Karma, Rebirth, and Remembrance of God – Why Should We Worship God Even During Good Times?

Karma and Rebirth

The misconception that one should worship God only when facing difficulties is a dangerous way of thinking that can ruin a person's future.

The happiness, peace, prosperity, and respect that we are experiencing today are all the results of the virtuous deeds (Punya Karma) performed in our previous births.

Likewise, in this lifetime, neglecting God, disrespecting Him, criticizing Him, arrogance, and the disrespectful behavior, hatred, and ego that exist between husband and wife are karmic actions that can lead to sorrow and a weakened life in the future or in the next birth.

The Principle of Karma

Without distinguishing between good and bad, the law of karma impartially grants the appropriate result for every action performed.

Therefore, not only during difficult times but also during times of happiness, we should make remembrance of God, worship of God, and the practice of righteousness a part of our daily lives with gratitude.

Bring your mind closer to God every moment.

Walk on the path of Dharma. Shape your future through your righteous deeds.

"When destruction approaches, a person's intellect turns in the wrong direction."

Therefore, it is wise to live with discernment, righteousness, and devotion.

Note

Concepts such as Karma, Rebirth, and the merits earned in previous births are philosophical principles that are widely accepted in the Indian spiritual traditions.

Those who chant the Divine Name do not lose their accumulated merit.

Instead, their sins are burned away.

This is also referred to as the Yogic Fire (Yogāgni) that burns karma.
