According to police reports and multiple victim complaints:

  • Sexual Harassment & Exploitation: Women employees (mostly aged 18–25) alleged physical harassment, inappropriate comments about their bodies and clothing, molestation, and mental harassment by senior team leaders. One case involves sexual exploitation under the pretext of marriage.

The accused, who held positions of power as team leaders and engineers, allegedly used their authority to exploit junior colleagues in the BPO department. The TCS Nashik office has around 300 employees.

The arrested individuals include Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Tausif Attar, and others. Police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the cases thoroughly.

An FIR has also been registered against the HR Head of the unit for allegedly ignoring repeated complaints and dismissing them casually. Some reports mention the HR officer telling victims to “stay cool” or that such incidents are “common in MNCs.”

Strong Reaction from Maharashtra Government

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, described the matter as “very serious” and has ordered a detailed probe. Protests by local groups, including BJYM activists, were held outside the TCS office demanding justice and better safety measures for women employees.

TCS Response and Broader Concerns

TCS has not issued a detailed public statement yet, but sources indicate the company is cooperating with the police. The incident has raised serious questions about workplace safety, internal grievance mechanisms, and background verification processes in large IT firms.

For Hindu employees and their families, the allegations of religious targeting and conversion attempts have caused deep concern. Many voices on social media and in Nashik are demanding stricter safeguards to protect cultural identity and women’s dignity in corporate workplaces.
