Padma Purana

Prakarṣeṇa kṣayaṁ yāti pāpaṁ sarvaṁ tridhākṛtam |
Kṣīṇatvañca gate pāpe pradakṣiṇam iti śrutam ||

Meaning

"Pra" means the destruction of all sins.
"Da" means granting the desired wishes.
