Located at 10530 Temple Drive, Maple Grove, MN 55311, this is one of the prominent Hindu temples in the Upper Midwest. It serves a large and active Indian community with daily darshan, major festivals, events, and cultural programs. The temple has dedicated priests and a strong volunteer base.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves hands-on support in two main areas:

Auditorium & Event Support

  • Setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events
  • Routine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising)
  • Minor repairs (light bulbs, basic electrical/plumbing)
  • Audio-visual equipment arrangement and crowd/seating assistance during programs
  • Linen cleaning, folding, and organised storage

Kitchen Support

  • Preparing kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and sanitising surfaces
  • Minor appliance maintenance and inventory of supplies (soap, towels, trash bags)
  • Assisting with food preparation and service during events when needed
  • General pantry organisation and cleanliness

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cleaning, maintenance, or kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Flexible hours including evenings and weekends
