Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and perform all daily Poojas.
  • Ensure deity attire, garlands, fruits and other items are ready before each Pooja.
  • Ensure major Poojas, Abhishekams, and Festivals start and finish on schedule.
  • Perform marriages and special religious services.
  • Conduct private religious ceremonies for community members (with prior committee approval).
  • Preside over house-warming ceremonies.
  • Provide astrological readings for auspicious occasions when requested.
  • Participate in meetings / conferences promoting Hindu culture and tradition.
  • Ensure every devotee leaves the temple happy, content and spiritually fulfilled.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have been ‘ordained’ or have ‘professed to a religious life’ as a Minister of Religion (or equivalent accreditation within the religion).
  • Minimum qualifications equivalent to a relevant Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) bachelor degree, OR
  • At least five years of relevant structured training or instruction (experience alone does NOT substitute — must be structured training).
