Nishkala (निष्कला, IAST: niṣkalā) is a Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “Indivisible, without parts or fractions”. Composed of nis (without) and kalā (part, digit, phase), this epithet declares that Lalitā's being admits no division — she is the seamless, undivided whole that underlies all apparent multiplicity.

The term kalā refers to a fraction or portion, especially the sixteen digits of the moon or the phases of temporal experience; niṣkalā therefore signifies absolute wholeness beyond any fragmentation. In the Śākta Tantras, kalā also refers to the sixty-four arts and the energetic rays that emanate from the Goddess — and yet as Niṣkalā she transcends even these luminous expressions of herself.
