Nishkarana (निष्कारणा, IAST: Niṣkāraṇā) is a Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “She who is causeless, beyond all causation”. Formed from niṣ (free from) + kāraṇa (cause or reason), this name declares that the Goddess herself has no prior cause — she is the uncaused ground of all existence.

In Sanskrit philosophical discourse, kāraṇa denotes both efficient and material cause; everything in the manifest world has a kāraṇa.
