Shringararasasampurna (शृङ्गाररससम्पूर्णा, IAST: Śṛṅgārarasasampūrṇā) is a Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “She who is completely filled with the rasa of love”. From śṛṅgāra (the sentiment of romantic love), rasa (divine aesthetic essence), and sampūrṇā (completely full), this name reveals the Goddess as the supreme embodiment of the most exalted of the nine rasas.

Meaning, etymology & significance

In classical Indian aesthetics, śṛṅgāra is considered the king of all rasas, the root aesthetic from which beauty itself flows. Sampūrṇā means not merely touched by this sentiment but entirely pervaded and overflowing with it. The Lalitā Sahasranāma thus proclaims that the Goddess is herself the very fullness of divine love-essence, beyond mortal romanticism.

This epithet belongs to Śrī Lalitā Mahātripurasundarī, whose very form is said to radiate the nectar of śṛṅgāra. As a given name it is long and compound, so it may be shortened affectionately to Shringara; pronounce the initial retroflex ṛ as a vowel sound similar to 'ri'.
