Siddheshvarī (सिद्धेश्वरी, IAST: Siddheśvarī) is a Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “Sovereign goddess of the perfected siddhas”. From siddha (one who has attained perfection or supernatural powers) and īśvarī (supreme mistress), Siddheśvarī names Lalitā as the presiding queen over all accomplished yogins and bestower of the highest attainments.

Meaning, etymology & significance

The siddhas are those rare souls who have mastered every limb of yogic discipline and stand at the threshold of liberation; even they bow to Siddheśvarī, for she is the source from which all siddhis flow and the final destination beyond them. Her name affirms that no spiritual achievement is independent of her grace — she is both the path and the perfection at its end.

This epithet appears in several Śākta texts and is also the name of a local goddess tradition in Bengal and Odisha; pronounced 'Sid-dhesh-va-ree', it is a meaningful and usable name in devotional families.
