Uddamavaibhava (उद्दामवैभवा, IAST: uddāmavaibhavā) is an Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “She of unbounded, unrestrained, and limitless splendour”. From uddāma (unfettered, unrestrained, exuberant) and vaibhava (splendour, majesty, divine opulence), the name proclaims that the Goddess's greatness knows no boundary or measure.

Meaning, etymology & significance

Uddāma is formed from ud + dāma, where dāma refers to a bond or restraint; ud-dāma therefore means that which is free from all binding, wholly unleashed. Vaibhava, from vibhava (excellence, wealth, magnificence), refers to the fullness of divine power and glory manifest in a being. As Uddāmavaibhavā, the Goddess reveals that her majesty is not measured or contained by any cosmic framework — it overflows all limits.

This triumphant epithet of Lalitā Tripurasundarī is especially beloved in the Śākta tradition's celebration of her absolute sovereignty. Pronounced ud-daa-ma-vai-bha-vaa, the name is grand and evocative.
