Vyapini (व्यापिनी, IAST: vyāpinī) is a Sanskrit-origin Hindu girl-name meaning “She who pervades all things without exception”. From the root vyāp (to pervade, to spread through), vyāpinī names Lalitā as the all-pervasive presence — the one who fills every atom of creation with her living consciousness.

Meaning, etymology & significance

Vyāpinī is the feminine counterpart of vyāpin, a classical Sanskrit term for omnipresence. In Śākta theology, the Goddess's vyāpti — her pervasive nature — means that there is no place, state, or moment in which she is absent; even the seeming void is full of her. This name thus echoes the great declaration of the Devī Upaniṣad: 'I pervade all the worlds.'

Vyāpinī appears as an epithet of the Goddess in several Tantric texts and is a beautiful, meaningful name for a daughter, connoting both spiritual omnipresence and an expansive, all-embracing spirit. Pronounced vyaa-pi-nee; the name Vyapini is used in traditional Śākta communities, particularly in Kerala and Tamilnadu.
