Ganesh Chaturthi (Vinayaka Chavithi / Ganeshotsav) marks the birth of Lord Ganesha — remover of obstacles, god of wisdom and new beginnings. In 2026 it ran Monday 14 September to Anant Chaturdashi Visarjan on Friday 25 September. Maharashtra is the epicentre, but every region adds its own flavour.
