Key Responsibilities for the Head Priest Role

As Head Priest, you will lead all religious activities with dedication:

Conduct daily poojas, aartis, abhishekams, Vedic rituals, and temple services to maintain spiritual sanctity.
Lead major festivals, community events, and samskaras (including marriages, namkaran, grihapravesh, funerals, and other life-cycle rites).
Perform additional Vedic ceremonies, homams, and devotee-specific rituals as needed.
Handle administrative duties for the society, such as coordinating events, managing offerings, and supporting temple operations.

This role requires a commitment of 30+ hours per week, including weekends, festivals, and on-call availability for community needs.

Who We’re Looking For: Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced, practicing priest:

Proven experience as a practicing Hindu priest with expertise in Vedic customs and Sanatan Dharma.
Strong knowledge of Hindu scriptures, karma kand, and traditional rituals.
Fluency in English for effective communication with diverse devotees (additional languages like Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, or others are helpful).
Professional demeanor, reliability, and ability to engage compassionately with the community.
Willingness for full-time or contract service in Calgary, Alberta.

Compensation and Benefits
