Role & Responsibilities

As a Religious Worker / Hindu Priest you will perform daily poojas, abhishekam, alankaram and archana per strict Hindu Agamas; prepare daily neivedyam (madapalli cooking in the South Indian tradition); conduct samskaras and funeral/general assistant services where required; and guide any assistant priests so all rituals run on time in a sanctified manner.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Affirmation of the Hindu faith with training/experience under a senior priest in the Vedas and Agamas.
  • Willingness to serve both Saiva and Vaishnava traditions.
  • Brahmin lineage and recognised priestly training acceptable to the panel.
  • Exemplary character; vegetarian; abstaining from alcohol and tobacco.
  • Language ability in English plus Tamil/Malayalam is valued.
