Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math

The Goan gives the founding year as 1475, which matches the 550th-year celebrations held in 2025 (The Goan; All India Radio News). Accounts differ on who founded the math and where its seat stood before Partagali, so those details are not given here.

The math is led by a line of pontiffs (Mathadhipatis); the present head, Shrimad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji, is the 24th in the line (Swarajya; The Goan). Swarajya notes that earlier heads kept the tradition going through periods of invasion and Portuguese rule (Swarajya).

The 550th-year celebration, called the Sardha Panchashatamanotsava, ran for about ten days from late November 2025 (The Goan; Swarajya). Architecture and sacred features

Before the 550th-year celebrations, the Shree Ram Mandir and Shree Vir Vitthal Mandir in the complex were renovated while keeping their old structure, and the work added a dining hall, a goshala, a Sanskrit pathshala and guest rooms (The Goan). The grounds include several mandaps, walls decorated in the Kaavi painting style, and vrindavans (memorial shrines) of past heads of the math (Swarajya).
