The Hindu Temple and Cultural Center (HTCC) in Bothell, Washington (near Seattle) is looking for a dedicated Smaartha Archaka priest specialising in South Indian rituals and Agama traditions.

About HTCC Bothell

HTCC serves the vibrant South Indian and broader Hindu community in the greater Seattle area. The temple performs daily nitya poojas, major festivals, and private ceremonies for devotees across the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily and special abhishekam, havan / homam, and poojas across deities
  • South Indian rituals including Satyanarayana vratham, Grihapravesh, kalyanams (Sita-Rama, Srinivasa, Andal), and various shanti pujas
  • Expertise in Maha Ganapathi, Sri Rudra, Sri Gayathri, Sri Chandi, and Vaastu homams
  • Chanting Lalitha Sahasranamam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Hanuman Chalisa, and leading bhajans / pravachans
  • Alankaram of moola and utsava murthis
  • Preparation of neivedhyam / bhog and care of garbha grihas
  • Occasional out-of-temple services in the greater Seattle area

Requirements

  • 3+ years temple experience after Vedic / religious training (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit background preferred)
  • Fluent in Hindi and English + knowledge of Sanskrit
  • Ability to perform cross-sampradaya rituals comfortably
  • Experience with alankaram and devotional cooking is a plus
