Quick answer: Deepavali 2026 in Mysuru (Mysore) is on Sunday, 8 November 2026. The Naraka Chaturdashi oil bath is before sunrise that morning (sunrise about 6:18 AM), and the Lakshmi Puja muhurat that evening is 6:23 PM – 8:24 PM IST, calculated by HinduTone with the Drik Panchang method. Balipadyami is Tuesday, 10 November. The Karnataka government has allowed crackers only from 8 PM to 10 PM on 8, 9 and 10 November, and only green crackers.

Mysuru keeps Deepavali the Kannada way, a few weeks after its world-famous Dasara. On Dhanteras evening families fill the bath vessels (Neeru Tumbuva Habba); the oil bath comes on Naraka Chaturdashi morning, Lakshmi Puja on the Amavasya evening, and Balipadyami honours King Bali with lamps, rangoli and, in many homes, cow worship. Devotees climb Chamundi Hill to Sri Chamundeshwari, and the lanes around Devaraja Market fill with flowers, lamps and sweets. This guide covers the dates and times, temples, markets, the cracker rules and practical tips.
