Quick answer: Deepavali 2026 in Tirupati is on Sunday, 8 November 2026. At Tirumala, TTD holds the Deepavali Asthanam that morning from 7 AM to 9 AM at the Bangaru Vakili, and Lord Malayappa Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi takes part in the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva at 5 PM before a procession around the four Mada streets. TTD has cancelled all virtual and physical arjitha sevas on 8 November, including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva and Arjitha Brahmotsavam. In Tirupati town, the Lakshmi Puja muhurat is 6:10 PM – 8:12 PM IST, calculated by HinduTone with the Drik Panchang method, and the oil bath is before sunrise (about 6:08 AM).
For devotees of Lord Venkateswara, Deepavali at Tirumala is a temple festival in its own right: the Asthanam, a formal court of the Lord held in the sanctum's golden doorway, followed by the evening lamp seva. Down in Tirupati, families keep the Telugu Deepavali at home, with the pre-dawn oil bath, new clothes, pramidalu and Lakshmi Puja at dusk, and two days later Karthika Masam begins with homams at the Kapileswara temple. This guide covers the Tirumala programme, darshan planning, Tirupati's temples, the cracker rules and what follows in Karthika.
Editor's note (8 November 2026): the Tirumala programme and the seva cancellations are from TTD's announcement as reported by The Hans India (1 November 2026) and Telugu media. Puja times for Tirupati town are HinduTone's own calculation. Confirm the latest details on TTD's official website before you travel.

Arjitha sevas cancelled on 8 November: TTD has cancelled all virtual and physical arjitha sevas that day, including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva and Arjitha Brahmotsavam.
