About the role

HinduTone reaches readers through festival features, temple pages, panchang updates, careers articles and community stories in English, Hindi and Telugu. Many of the best things we publish could be even better with the right partner: a temple sharing details for a festival feature, a cultural association co-hosting a newsletter edition, or a brand sponsoring a seasonal series in a way that readers find genuinely useful.

We are hiring a Digital Partnerships and Business Development Executive to build and look after these relationships. This is a full-time, hybrid role in Hyderabad, focused on digital collaborations rather than traditional sales.

You will find partners, shape collaborations that respect our editorial standards, and track how each partnership performs. Experience in digital media, advertising, influencer or content partnerships is preferred, because the role depends on understanding how audiences, content and sponsorship come together online. It suits someone who is part relationship builder and part content thinker, and who cares about keeping partner content honest and clearly labelled.

What you will do

  • Develop content collaborations with temples, cultural organisations, writers and creators who share an interest in Hindu traditions and community life.
  • Plan and pitch sponsored festival and temple features, working with editors so that sponsored material is clearly identified and useful to readers.
  • Build newsletter and social media partnerships, including co-promotions with community pages and cultural groups.
  • Identify and manage affiliate and advertising partners whose products or services suit HinduTone readers.
  • Reach out to NRI community organisations in different countries and set up collaborations around festivals, events and community news.
  • Prepare partnership briefs that set out what each side will provide, the timeline and how success will be measured.
  • Track partner performance using agreed measures such as page views, clicks, newsletter engagement or event sign-ups, and share simple reports with partners.
  • Keep partnership records, contacts and renewal dates organised in the CRM.
  • Coordinate with the editorial and technology teams on publishing schedules and on what can be delivered on the HinduTone website.
  • Review completed partnerships and suggest improvements for the next season.

Skills we are looking for

Must have

  • An understanding of how digital content partnerships, sponsorships or advertising work.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a professional, warm communication style.
  • Clear writing for pitches, briefs and partner updates.
  • Comfort reading basic performance numbers and turning them into a short, honest report.
  • Organisation skills to manage several partners and deadlines at the same time.
  • Good judgement about which partners and messages fit a cultural and devotional audience.

Good to have

  • Prior experience in digital media, advertising, influencer marketing or content partnerships.
  • Familiarity with newsletter platforms, social media analytics or affiliate programmes.
  • Contacts among NRI associations, temple committees or cultural event organisers.
  • Hindi or Telugu for regional partner conversations.
  • An understanding of disclosure practices for sponsored and affiliate content.

Who should apply

Candidates with experience in digital media, advertising, influencer or content partnerships are preferred. If your background is in a nearby area, such as social media management, PR, event partnerships or content marketing, and you can show partnership work you led, we encourage you to apply.

A degree in mass communication, journalism, marketing, business, or a related field is welcome, as are equivalent practical skills. You should be able to work from Hyderabad on a hybrid basis, with office days for planning and partner meetings and some days working from home.

You will do well if you enjoy cultural content, think about what readers actually need, and want partnerships to add value rather than clutter. Because many of our partners are volunteer-run temple committees and community associations, patience and clear communication matter as much as commercial sense. You should be comfortable explaining a collaboration step by step to someone who has never worked with a digital publication before.

How you will grow

This role gives you ownership of a growing area of the publication. You will shape the kinds of partnerships HinduTone offers, from sponsored festival features to newsletter collaborations and community tie-ups, and you will see your work published and read across three languages.

Working closely with editors will strengthen your content sense, while measuring partner results will build your analytical skills. Over time, you can help set up partnership formats, reporting templates and a seasonal planning calendar that the team uses year after year.

The mix of content, partnerships and performance tracking is valuable for future work in digital media, brand partnerships or marketing leadership.

Preparing your application

  • A resume that lists partnerships, campaigns or collaborations you have managed, with your role and the result in simple terms.
  • A short case note on one partnership you are proud of, covering how it started, what was delivered and how you measured it.
  • An idea for a sponsored or collaborative feature HinduTone could run during an upcoming festival, in no more than 200 words.
  • Samples of partner briefs, pitch emails or performance reports, with confidential details removed.
  • Mention any NRI or community organisation contacts you have, and any languages you speak.
  • If you have worked with creators or influencers, explain how you checked that the fit was right.

Before the interview

You can read more about the wider field in our business development career overview, which covers the skills and responsibilities partners and employers expect. Before we speak, refresh your knowledge of sponsored content disclosure and the main metrics used to judge a digital partnership.
